As a kid my family would take the train into Liverpool on weekends to visit Chinatown, and for years I wondered what that magnificent building across the road from Lime Street Station was. Of course it’s St George’s Hall.

I was booked to photograph Nicole and Kian’s wedding at St George’s Hall recently.  The couple was super efficient and we arranged to meet up at their hotel in Albert Dock and literally went for a stroll around the Dock.

After the ceremony and some group photographs around St George’s Hall, it was play time. The couple and I spent some time taking lots of photos, which I’m sure will be treasured for generations to come.

And finally we just had to make use of the garden behind St George’s Hall. Lavender plants were in bloom at the time, which gave us a beautiful backdrop we could use.

As a wedding photographer, it’s always a pleasure to be able to play a key role in someone’s big day, and to see their eyes light up when they see their photos is truly an amazing feeling.

Hope you like these.
