Camera megapixels are like the size of dinner plates – bigger is not always better.

10 megapixel or inches is about right
14 is starting to get silly
22 is way unnecessary for most jobs
36 is just ridiculous

Think about the quality of the pixels instead, bit like a paper plate versus a fine bone china plate really. Do you really want to use paper plates on your wedding?

Just as you can’t improve a bad meal with a large plate, you don’t improve the quality of a photo by having more megapixels.
